We would like to take this time to thank you for asking about us. We have been serving the Lord here on the border for some fourteen years. We have faced hard times with the work here, but through it all God still reins and show his power minute by minute.
Let me begin by tell you a bit about what we are and where we came from till the present The Cornerstone Children’s Ranch started in 1998 as a relief mission to south Texas and Mexico, and was awarded a 501-C-3 by the federal government.
The purpose of Cornerstone Children’s Ranch and motive for our mission is to do as Christ said until His return. To care for the widows and orphans and to love them as God loves them, both physically and spiritually.
We saw the need for such a relief work here, and have grown from a small store to a 6000 square foot warehouse, a staff house, a new office, and six apartments on 10 acres in the outskirt of Quemado. Children’s Ranch now helps meet the needs of 30,000 people in Texas and Mexico. We distribute food, clothing, Bibles, shoes, furniture, appliances, medical supplies, etc. The needs of orphanages, schools, clinics, homes for the elderly, unwed mothers, shelters for the homeless, pastors and lay pastors are met so they can share the Lord with others. We work together with over 300 ministries which in turn enable us to provide the help where it will make the most difference.
We have a board of directors that meet on a regular basis to handle the needs of this mission in this area of the border. We are totally faith based….PTL.
We want to invite you come on down to the ranch. We are in need of ranch hands all year long, and many of our hands do come in off the range in the fall, looking for a place to bunk in till spring. We would really welcome you to come and share the ranch with us, bring your wagon and we’ll set you up for the winter, or stay, in the bunkhouse. We have room for all sizes of families, complete with kitchen, bath and bedrooms with bunk beds. We can sleep about 35 persons.
Our goals for the future are many with the violence across the border we are finding less team wanting to come and work here of in Mexico. And we truly understand.
At the present we are opening our doors to "Children that are caught in the GAP "
Why we are faced with the large number of people that have come this country for whatever reason. Some so they can have a better way of life for themselves and their family. This problem has been true in almost every land from the being of time.
