Chihuahuan Connection
The Chihuahuan Connection was started in 1996 by it's director, Rick Caywood.
Rick was born in August, 1948 and born again in Christ December 9, 1981. Rick received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1971 and his Master of Education in 1995. He continued to work in the field of education through 1999. Rick was involved in previous business pursuits since 1988 and was called to Ministry in November, 1996.
Rick and Leann have two grown children and 5 grandchildren
Rick believes that it is important to remember I Corinthians 2:5 - "that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the foundational power of God."
Ricks favorite scriptures include:
"But whoever has the world's goods, and beholds his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?" I John 3:17
"Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. Truly I say to you, that he will put him in charge of all his possessions." Matthew 24:45-47
At the Chihuahuan Connection, our work of faith is feeding God’s children in all the nations, all the world, all creation, and to the uttermost parts of the earth. We deliver the tangible bread that saves the body as well as the spiritual bread that saves the soul. $37,000 for 130,000 lbs of food (28.5 cents/lb). This price is not only for the
purchase of the food but also includes picking it up and the distribution.
Some of it will even be going to Cuba.
Remember there are still and will always be hungry people. a permanent facility with a warehouse and a place to park the
